Public Affairs Account Executive
The primary role for the position is to engage in public affairs
and grassroots activities. The public affairs account executive's
responsibilities focus on advocacy activities in an effort to advance
issues and projects through the governmental process and assist
with candidate and ballot initiative campaigns; facilitate meetings
between our corporate clients and elected and/or appointed officials;
plan news conferences; organize letter writing and media campaigns;
engage in fundraising activities; and organize supporters or opponents
for an issue or project during city council or Board of Supervisor
meetings. The nature of the position demands the public affairs
account executive to be a highly motivated, results oriented individual
who can take direction and get the job(s) done. In addition, the
position demands someone with strong writing skills. Experience
desired: BA/BS Degree, prior experience working on a campaign (candidate
or ballot initiative), working for an elected official, public
or non-profit agency or experience in another public affairs/political
consulting firm or have some experience in community organizing.
