Robert L. Muelrath II

Since 1987 Robert Muelrath II has provided services in public affairs, marketing communications, campaign management, legislative analysis and issue advocacy. He has developed communication programs for builders, cities, schools, and businesses, and developed winning campaign messages and strategies for issues and candidates.
Among the positions he held in the public and private sector before founding his firm in 1996 are:
- Field Representative to former Assemblywoman Andrea Seastrand
- Legislative Consultant for the California Republican Assembly Caucus
- Account Manager for a national public affairs/public relations firm
- Campaign Manager and Field Director for Congressman Bob Lagomarsino, Congressman Michael Huffington, Assemblyman Eric Seastrand, Assemblywoman Andrea Seastrand, California State Treasurer Matt Fong, San Diego City Councilman Scott Harvey and campaign manager of a number of ballot initiatives throughout the State of California.
In 1996, Mr. Muelrath worked with the Monterey County Farm Bureau to defeat Measure E, also called the “Agriculture Land and Resource Conservation Initiative.” He helped to develop the free-media and direct-mail strategies for the campaign. The measure went down in flames, defeated by more than 12,000 votes.
Mr. Muelrath takes pride in providing positive results. Most recently, he handled the controversial March 2007, Measure B campaign, a parcel tax increase for the Sonoma Valley Health Care District that increases the funding for their local hospital over the next five years. There was mass confusion and controversy amongst voters as it relates to the hospital. The polling indicated that the highest watermark for Measure B was 59%. The campaign needed 67% to be successful. Measure B passed with 74% of the vote..
In addition, he has elected Superior Court Judges, District Attorneys, County Supervisors, and City Council Members throughout California. He has also been successful in passing bonds to build new schools and roads.
His work for previous clients includes consulting for Waste Management, Ralphs Grocery Stores, Sprint PCS, and Chevron, directing public affairs/grassroots lobbying programs. He also assisted in crisis management for Mobil Oil Corporation.
Mr. Muelrath attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and studied Agricultural Science and Political Science.
